Design Director
2013 - 2021
I began my career at EatStreet as a part-time front-end designer before finding a full-time home as a brand designer and ultimately graduating to Design Director. I led a small team of creatives, learning, failing, and evolving with our young startup. During my time at EatStreet, we secured multiple rounds of funding and owned the food delivery market in Wisconsin despite facing much larger and deeper-pocketed competition.

A Homegrown Brand
For nearly eight years, I helped build and hone the EatStreet brand to reflect our midwestern sensibilities and values. By setting standards and styles for joyful illustration, mouth-watering food photography, and dynamic call-to-action typography, I created a design system that could be followed by the team to ensure quality and consistency across all mediums and platforms.

Illustration
Bright, simple illustration added eye-catching pops of color to our designs and helped establish EatStreet as your friendly, neighborhood delivery service.

Motion
Shortly after starting at EatStreet, I taught myself animation, which added a healthy serving of delight to our brand.
Patterns
I designed custom patterns to create subtle visual interest as a background element and emphasize the variety available on EatStreet.

Photography
Art Direction (and occasional hand modeling)
We paired craveable food photography and our signature typography to create the definitive EatStreet look.
